A faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State loyal to Igo Aguma has suspended the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi for anti-party activities.
The APC faction in a statement signed by the media adviser to Aguma, Livingstone Wechie stated that Amaechi’s suspension from the party by the state executives followed his earlier suspension at the ward level.

The statement noted that the State Executive Caretaker Committee ratified the decision of the State Disciplinary Committee of the party which looked into Amaechi’s suspension by Ward 8, Ikwerre Local Government Area where he hails from.
Recall that the Amaechi faction had also over the weekend, suspended Senator Magnus Abe, Igo Aguma, Livingstone Wechie, Wogu Boms, and all caretaker committee leaders inaugurated by Aguma.
The statement by the Aguma faction also noted that the expulsion of Chief Victor Giadom and the suspension of Senator Chief Andrew Uchendu from the party have been referred to the disciplinary committee for further action.
