Nigerian activist and strong supporter of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Aisha Yesufu, has slammed the Department Of State Services (DSS) over its statement on alleged plans to ignite violence and anarchy in the country.
Rant HQ reports that the state’s secret service, in a statement on Twitter, noted that those peddling fake news, hate speech and all forms of false narratives as a basis to ignite violence or pit the people against the present or incoming administration should desist from it.
The agency further noted that those inciting violence have nothing to gain as doing so will not “only consume them but also the innocent”.
DSS also berated aggrieved politicians using their social media platforms with a large following to mislead Nigerians.
Reacting to the statement, Aisha slammed the secret police for being partisan, adding that the agency should be loyal only to Nigeria and the Nigerian people.
She wrote: “What a shameful statement. You did not get the alert of the violence that were threatened and committed before, during and after the election.
“Let one of the S in your DSS or SSS be shame.Be ashamed of your partisanship. Your loyally should be to Nigeria and the Nigerian people.”
